Hello and welcome!
I’m a freelance illustrator and lecturer from the North East of England where I live with my husband, two daughters and our cat Cole.
I’m passionate about drawing and can often be found out and about sketching the people and places around me, recording a slice of life in my sketchbooks to use later in my illustrations. Living by the sea brings lots of opportunities to capture everyday moments and the ever changing colours and textures of nature. Especially that amazing sky!
I have worked with commissioners from a range of backgrounds including children's publishing, research dissemination, packaging, editorial and public art.
My clients include; Nexus, Walker Books, Ransom Publishing, Mumsnet, International Centre for Life, Durham Book Festival, Crossing the Tees Festival, Weardale Wordfest, The Pain Toolkit, Teesside University, Northumbria University, North Chocolates, The Crack Magazine, Brilliant Designs and the National Youth Association.
I also love teaching and as well as working with my amazing students at the University of Sunderland I have used my design skills to deliver accessible and engaging workshops with community groups, schools and charities.
If you would like to enquire about a commission please get in touch.
