Hello!

My name is Sara and I live in the Nort East of England with my husband, two daughters and our cat Cole, (who I’m convinced thinks he’s a dog!).

I work as a freelance illustrator and I also teach illustration ast the University of Sunderland.

I love drawing everyday scenes, sketching people and places and recording a slice of life in my sketchbooks to use in my illustrations. Living by the sea brings lots of opportunities to sketch everyday moments and to try and capture the ever changing colours and textures of nature. Especicially that amazing sky!

I love teaching and as well as working with Uni students, I also enjoy working with community and school groups running various creative workshops.

I sell my work locally and take on a variety of private and commercial commissions.

I have produced work in lots of areas of illustration including children's books, packaging and editorial.

My clients include; Nexus, Walker Books, Ransom Publishing, Mumsnet, International Centre for Life, Durham Book Festival, Crossing the Tees Festival, Weardale Wordfest, The Pain Toolkit, Teesside University, Northumbria University, North Chocolates, The Crack Magazine, Brilliant Designs and the National Youth Association.

If you would like to enquire about a commission please get in touch.
